There is currently a group circulating untrue allegations about The Gnostic Movement and its spiritual teacher Mark H Pritchard (Belzebuub) as part of a widespread smear/hate campaign. Here we would like to present information about how these allegations have come about and to provide the truth about them for the public benefit. (Go here to just get a brief overview of the situation).
These allegations are being spread on the internet using a dedicated and prominent hate site, designed to invasively rank for searches of the terms Belzebuub and The Gnostic Movement. Contributors to the hate site have also posted anonymously around the internet, including on anti-cult website forums and by leaving reviews on Belzebuub’s books and sites, to spread the false allegations – often posing as neutral readers.
Some of the main allegations we will be addressing concern two ex-members of our organization who were asked to leave because they were behaving contrary to the aims and principles of our organization. They headed a rogue faction within The Gnostic Movement, which members felt was effectively grabbing power. They both tried to return for a year, and then they and their faction instigated the smear campaign after they were denied. These ex-members are referred to with the pseudonyms Barbara and Vernon on this site.
We found both Barbara and Vernon to be very dedicated to their work within the organization. Once they lost their positions and were denied contact with the organization, they became dedicated in their efforts against it, to a degree that we have found astonishing – it appears they have used every possible means available to them to smear our organization and spiritual teacher – using vast numbers of false accusations, misrepresented and manipulated evidence, and involving anti-cult groups, people’s families, a number of other ex-attendees of The Gnostic Movement who had negative opinions towards us, and Gnostic groups that oppose our organization.
Despite this, no other members of The Gnostic Movement have joined the smear campaign or left the organization. Many of them had direct contact and experience with the behavior of the ex-members and people who have contributed to the smear campaign and hate site (a number of whom have admitted to suffering from psychological disorders), and thus are well aware of the falsity of the campaign and the motives of the people behind it. Many people in our organization have been too afraid to speak publicly because of the threats they have received from people on the smear campaign. Suffice to say that there is well and truly another side to the stories presented on the smear campaign, which could be told by many of our members, teachers, and students.
Here is what really happened.

* Please note – although this original post was written in January of 2011, additional information has been added as it came to light in order for this post to give a comprehensive outline of the entire situation.

I’m very happy to see this post up, as I profoundly disagree with the allegations that have been made against Belzebuub and The Gnostic Movement and also with the actions of those who are making them.
It is wonderful to see the truth of things put forward.
Here’s wishing for a new year with more peace, more compassion, more tolerance, and a lot of strength to everyone in their spiritual journey.
Couldn’t agree more Justin!
Finally, this website, has allowed the truth to be told, which in turn will allow all of those people that have been dragged into this campaign, to see things as they are. Its been a real shame that this has even needed to be done, but this has been really needed, and I’m so grateful that this was put up. Thank you gnostic freedom
and happy new year to all
Yes its refreshing to read the facts. It seems that some people were seeking to create a moral panic over our spiritual group last year, but the truth is not really very dramatic as the refutations here show.
We’re just a bunch who love our religion and wish to practice and follow its principles in peace. Others may not feel the same way about what we do and that’s fine, but I hope the New Year brings more tolerance, understanding and respect all round for each person to choose their spiritual calling, without attempts to oppose or undermine anyone’s spiritual choices.
Happy New Year and best wishes to all.
I agree Cameron.
Hopefully all those that come across these allegations will be able to see this website and use their common sense to see the falsity of the allegations.
It would be a shame if they didn’t, as from what I have read here and my own experiences people get nothing but positive experiences with The Gnostic Movement and Mark Pritchard.
Good luck to everyone to find true happiness within
Thanks for sharing this, and yes it is a shame that all these allegations have been going around, which to me also seem very sad. So it’s good to see the information put forward here, which confirms that what has been spread around has been untrue.
I hope that everyone searching for the deeper understanding and truth can find it, conquering their fears and doubts along the way, and discover the real joy and peace of Gnosis. Best wishes to all.
I am very glad to see this post up as well. As I also deeply disagree with what has been said against The Gnostic Movement, and Mark H Pritchard (Belzebuub).
My experience with The Gnostic Movement (since October 2005) has all been positive and enriching – one simple example:
After having difficulties with my family for many years, my own mother stated to me over a year ago: “Since you have been in Gnosis, you have never been so close to me, to us, to the family”. Both my mother and father have said that since I’ve been practicing Gnosis, I have “become a more peaceful person, more at ease and less nervous, and a much happier woman”.
But I remember being sad and crying when I first heard about the allegations made by Barbara and Vernon and others – because it is just simply not on, to spread lies, incite hatred, make rumors, in some other cases to contact people’s family and lie and manipulate them, use the status you once had in an organization to make it sound true all the while trying to portray being “gnostic”. It goes against all principles of Gnosis, of tolerance, love and free will. And really it is just not on. .
To me, what they have done, and how they have done it reveals so much more about them than even the lies they made about The Gnostic Movement and Mark H. Pritchard.
But thanks to this post, it also shows how untrue these allegations, falsehood and rumors were – I think it will help clear the smear and the hatred they have been trying to incite in others. Truth always comes out, and now.. well it’s out.
Thank you so much for writing this post – it was needed indeed.
I wish everyone a very peaceful and meaningful New Year – one that will bring more understanding, love and respect to this world. May each one feel a taste of Gnosis and bring it to others.
I actually have a very similar experience to you, Geraldine.
Since starting Gnosis, my relationship with my mom improved a LOT, and we are now closer than ever before. After she has seen the changes in me and the spiritual experiences I was having, she asked me to teach her what I have learned too, and so I went with her through all the Gnostic materials, translating for her as needed. After applying some of these techniques in her own life, she saw their effectiveness and how she is able now to deal with situations she would not be able before, being more peaceful and understanding towards others.
Hi Geraldine,
I have had similar experiences with my family since starting Gnosis. I was quite rebellious when I was younger and used to be quite spiteful and negative, but Gnosis has helped me to be more patient, tolerant and understanding and to really want to have love and commitment and a genuine relationship with my family and partner; as a result I have a much better connection and relationship with my family and partner now than I ever did before.
This is a change that my family have seen too, not just an internal thing. I remember talking to my Dad once and he mentioned that people who knew me when I was little asked him about how I was going and what I was doing. He told them about Gnosis and said that he doesn’t really understand what Gnosis is all about, but that it makes me happy (in the past I definitely wasn’t) so he thinks it’s a good thing
Thank you for this article and this entire site. The Gnostic Movement and Mark Pritchard have done nothing but help me and teach me in so many ways. I have been changing for the better since I began putting into practice the teachings of Gnosis.
I admit – at first this situation mentioned in the above article shook me. I felt lost and unsure. But then, I made it past that and it just made me cry as well, but not just for sadness, but because it felt like they were trying to steal from me my own personal experiences. Their accusations were trying to discredit every individual’s experience – which is like taking from every person something so precious and irreplaceable.
So, again, I thank you for this article and this site – the Truth shall prevail
I think you have put it quite well Katie, thanks for sharing.
Amen! So nice to read this statement finally! I know for a fact and have evidence that some of the allegations and accusations from these former members are untrue and I can’t believe that they actually lie about some stuff .
I have been a gnostic for many years and the teachings have helped me in so many ways. My relationship with my husband, family and friends (yes, I have them outside gnosis) has only been improved and enriched. I’m a much happier person and I love my life which doesn’t feel at all the way they describe that we live (isolated, stressed, sick, brainwashed, overworked, etc…) I guess you can isolate and get all stressed out if you wanted to and maybe that is what they did, but it is in no way what gnosis teaches. One of the main things that I have been taught over and over is that gnosis is part of life.
I have known Mark Pritchard for many years and he is an amazing teacher, a loving husband and a supporting friend. I have worked with him over the past years and I have never seen the behavior the accusers describe, on the contrary, I can say that I have always seen him acting with respect towards others, with honesty, integrity and uprightness.
It’s outrageous that people can attack the faith and the lifestyle of others in this manner. What happened to “Live and let live”? Just the fact that they behave that way discredits them in my mind as people worth listening to.
Peace…
I too, personally disagree with what these accusers have said. I have personally met and been taught by Belzebuub, and he is the greatest example of wisdom and spirituality I have ever found, not just as a spiritual teacher but as a person and I know many other people who would say the same thing. As time has gone on, I feel that the accusers have become revealed for what they are. Quoting some of the worst Inquisitors and persecutors of our time, who have used forceful “deprogramming” and in my opinion, are leading modern witch hunts, says it all. I personally know at least 7 of the contributors/commentors on their blog and have been involved in some of the events they describe and so know just how utterly false and distorted the claims they are making are. I would definitely agree that they have used their own personal knowledge of events to them lie about them to fit cult criteria. I also know some of the people who joined them and am aware of the history of some of the other groups that people posting there belong to, and to me their aim is not spiritual even if they say it is. Because I know them their agenda to me is so clear, so I am so glad to see this post giving some insight into the situation for other people.
No one should be kept from getting to the teachings of Belzebuub – they are what have absolutely turned my life around. Through what has happened, I found something I never had before. I felt in some way connected to all the mystics who had ever searched for the path to the truth throughout the whole of time. Suddenly, they were no longer distant figures in the past, like ghosts, but real people that felt very close to me. I could feel their yearnings, their struggles, the hatred and persecution they faced, how they suffered and wished only that people could be as one, and their sadness at seeing the world revealed for what it was the further they continued. I read the Gospels again, and saw the events in them come to life, how false witnesses came to testify against Jesus, how the disciples discovered that because of the way the world was, persecution was part of what it was to teach the truth, how truth was rejected and hated, but how the spirit triumphed within those who followed after love in the face of every adversity.
Thanks for clearly setting the record straight through this article.
I hope in 2011 we can all move forward spiritually and dedicate ourselves to working towards love, peace and happiness.
Wishing everyone a wonderful year ahead!
I share the positive experiences of practicing Gnosis with The Gnostic Movement mentioned by others on this site. For me it has meant the beginning of knowing why there is suffering in my life, and has brought about huge changes for the better in all my relationships – with friends, family, and society.
Nothing I have seen of the organization’s conduct has ever led me to believe that anything has taken place converse to the aims of genuinely helping people. I have been involved as much as I can for over four and a half years, and look forward to continuing to be involved and practice the Gnostic teachings as given by Mark Pritchard and the true teachers before him.
I agree with others that it is sad how people can turn so negative and against the principles they once upheld, but I’m very happy that the real side is now being brought to light.
It’s great to see this here!
Similar to what many of you have said, from what I’ve seen and experienced over the past eight years with both The Gnostic Movement and Mark Pritchard, it was obvious to me that these allegations and accusations were twisting things in one way or another, and this report confirms the truth.
What an excellent article, I am so glad to see this information published online.
I can only say the same thing that many other people are saying: Gnosis has only helped me to change my life drastically for the better. My relationships have improved dramatically, I can feel that my interactions with friends, family, and even casual acquaintances are more balanced, and real.
When all of these events came to my attention over the last year I was troubled to see the great lengths these people are going to to impose their ill-will on me, upon The Gnostic Movement, and on others who just want to pursue spirituality. It is clear to me that their motive is to stop all of us from having free access to the Gnostic teachings, which is terrible.
As for Mark Pritchard, I have the deepest respect for him as an individual and as a Gnostic teacher. In the interaction I’ve had with him, Belzebuub has shown himself to be nothing but kind and genuine, and I have never for a moment doubted his intentions with the work he does. He is the real thing when it comes to spirituality, and the allegations against him are just ridiculous.
Thank you so very much for setting the record straight for all to see.
I believe the allegations made against the Gnostic Movement and Mark Pritchard (Belzebuub) are incredibly false and malicious, and have no pure intentions in them. These allegations come like wolves in sheep’s clothing against the most spiritual person I have ever encountered in my life and against an organization that has given so much to help people all around the world to find spiritual peace. I can honestly say with my hand on my heart that Mark Pritchard (Belzebuub) emanates great love for others at all times, such a rare quality that it is unmistakable. A person so remarkably gentle, kind, sincere and peaceful. I feel very privileged to have found the Gnostic Movement and to have been able to receive the teachings of Gnosis from Belzebuub, that I wish for everyone in the world to have a chance to be touched and changed by these most amazing and spiritually uplifting teachings.
Personally I can feel I have changed for the better, and my family and friends often comment on the gentle qualities I have gained from my experience from the Gnostic Movement, just like Geraldine and Lucia, and I’m sure many others. I first came across the Gnostic Movement with a friend I have known for 30 years, she was keen to discover more about the Astral plane and I was keen to learn more about self discovery topics. We started going to the courses together on a weekly basis. We had such a magical time and we both felt we were learning so much about life and about our selves. Each week was a wonder and we looked forward to each topic as they unfolded and as we began to practice the exercises. After a year I decided to continue with Gnosis and take up the advanced courses because I could see that there was a lot I could learn and I knew that I wouldn’t find what I was looking for anywhere else. My friend decided to venture onto some thing else that she now loves to do. She left with no ill feelings, no negativity – just peacefully stepping into a new direction – that’s how most people come and go. We caught up again recently when I was back at home and as we were saying our good byes again, she commented on how relaxed I had become. Funnily enough I felt in myself that something in me had changed, but I never thought that it had changed to the point that others felt it from me too. So without a doubt Gnosis does work – it changes your life and who you are for the better. You learn so much about yourself and others and you sincerely develop a greater love and a deeper understanding of others and their needs in a way that doesn’t harm them – but that takes sincere effort to search within one’s self for the questions and the answers!
Wishing everyone a wonderful year!
Thank you so much for posting this article and site, and a great thanks to those who worked hard to put it together. While personally I had absolute faith in The Gnostic Movement and in Mark Pritchard being in the right all along through all these accusations, I am happy to know that perhaps those who had some doubts may be able to see the truth through this site.
My experience with The Gnostic Movement, since 2003, has been nothing but positive and has enriched my inner spiritual life, as well as my social and family life in so many ways! My experience of being taught by Mark Pritchard, Belzebuub, has engendered in me nothing but gratitude. I had never witnessed or experienced neither him, his wife Edith, nor The Gnostic Movement act against the spiritual and physical principles which they uphold in an honest and diligent way.
Like others have said, I hope that in this new year we are all able to move past all these blind and mal-intentioned accusations, and focus on what really matters – our own spiritual work, attaining peace and wisdom within, and supporting one another in our journeys!
I am very thankful for this post. It leaves me with a very nice feeling of hope that the attacks against us will stop soon. I was also very inspired with the comments.
I was in the Movement guided by Rabolu for seven years and I can testify that Belzebuub has done a great job being faithful to the Gnostic principles as taught by the previous Masters of Gnosticism.
I have known personally for quite some time that these 4-5 people that are mainly behind the scenes of in my opinion slandering and even though they sound so truthful and sincere I have to say that as I see it they never really understood the basic principles of Gnosticism. They always wanted to impress others in any way possible. Their blog is the result of hurt pride in my view.
But anyway I hope that they move on to live their lives however they want now and leave us alone to live ours in our way.
I am deeply grateful to have the privilege to be part of The Gnostic Movement. It has changed my life.
I hope the new year brings peace in everyone’s heart.
I am also very thankful for this site and to see this article setting the record straight. From the start of this whole thing, it has been very clear to me that the allegations made were untrue as I have been involved and worked with The Gnostic Movement and Mark Pritchard for some years now and have not seen or had the experiences claimed by these people. My experience has been a positive, invaluable one, and I have only seen a sincere, caring, genuine dedication to helping others spiritually by Mark Pritchard and the Gnostic Movement. I hope things can move on for everyone in this new year and wish peace, love, and strength to all!
Thanks for posting this and setting the record straight. It’s sad to see that these sort of things can happen. I personally have benefitted greatly from my experiences with The Gnostic Movement over the last 10 and a half years. I’ve met Mark and Edith Pritchard several times and have always found them to be extremely warm, caring people who radiate a genuine and profound love for others. I’ve neither seen nor experienced any of the behaviours that have been alleged in the articles referred to. I’ve gained an understanding of my psychology that I could not have found elsewhere (having tried a number of things before finding Gnosis) and that has allowed me to overcome things that have troubled me for a large part of my life. The benefits of Gnosis are priceless. Wishing everyone the very best of strength, guidance and protection. May we stand united in brotherhood so we can all move forward together and more of humanity can benefit from these teachings.
Big thanks. I am thankful for this post. I was waiting the truth and this blog help me to understand deeper. This blog gave me the freedom that I was looking for so many months.
I know that all these allegations were made against The Gnostic Movement and Mark Pritchard (Belzebuub) are false and malicious because my experience of leaving in the past with these people who accused us, show me the right way, where the truth is and how these people used to do and say things.
All these allegations are opposite to TGM and what Mark Pritchard (Belzebuub) teaches.
The words, help, support and guidance of Mark Pritchard (Belzebuub) to me and my family now, is something that I couldn’t imagine. Through The Gnostic Movement’s teachings, my life changes, getting better, I feel free, I have the chance to learn my mistakes, to correct them and to know how were created and step by step to be a better person, husband, and father now. It is lovely to learn how to live in balance and love inside your home
)
Many thanks to Mark Pritchard and the whole Gnostic Movement because they give inside freedom, hope, love, support, and guidance.
Freedom is great word and excellent to feel it
). Thanks for it
I wish peace and love to everyone.
To All readers,
For those who do not know me and for those considering the accusations to be true, I’d like to point out some “strange” things I noticed in the above mentioned internet blog. Yet, I am only one person and somebody else’s experience may differ from mine.
I’m not a member of The Gnostic Movement (yet) but have been around for almost 9 years now. Never have I seen or noticed or read anything about the things TGM is accused of now. I’ve been participating in a lot of forums on the different websites TGM hosts and hosted in the past and have had my share of personal contact with some teachers and other students.
Since I am not a member I cannot claim to “know” these accusations to be true or not, yet I do have common sense.
After reading parts of the internet blog accusing The Gnostic Movement I noticed a somewhat “revenge” like spirit in the writings.
With my my (limited and imprisoned) intellect I tried to open a discussion about what is told in those forums and proposed a different way of looking at the, what they call “facts”. My first reply was posted and the replies to that were like “you must be blind” and “how much evidence do you need” and so on.
When I replied in a manner fully complying to the forum rules, I was told my message awaited moderation. Afterwards it never got posted. Thinking it was an error in the system, I retried with the same result. After that I tried to ask a simple question about why my responses were not posted and if someone could tell me why, so I could correct things. Even this message never got posted. Maybe I will post this message as a separate post in this blog. Perhaps the post is a little sharp, but so are the accusations.
I asked the same moderator question to the host of the blogsite and they did reply in a correct manner stating that each blog “manager” does its own moderating.
This leads me to think they don’t want any open discussion, nor do they accept any responses that could hurt their side of the story in any way. As a consequence the blog is mostly negative towards the Gnostic Movement and sometimes even to Gnosis in general.
Some people from other gnosic groups also reacted to make clear the “accusers” are hurting Gnosis in general, which they are. Yet, they keep doing it and repeating the same things over and over again.
This also is a strange thing, since the accusers should still be Gnostics, even when they don’t agree with what is taught and done within The Gnostic Movement, they should not be hurting “innocent” people and organisations that are not affiliated to The Gnosic Movement in any way. Yet they do.
This hurting of others to reach their own goal tells a lot about the people making those claims and shows that are not true Gnostics and are not even trying to be.
So how can anyone expect them to tell the truth? And for the people who agree to the accusations or the accusers, well, everybody has his own story and experiences and his own faults, some of them are also dragged into it. When one searches for a stick to hit, one always finds one.
Bottom line… I feel these people are genuinely trying to attack the Gnostic Movement by creating new topics over and over again, using the same arguments. Trying to influence internet search spiders with word combinations, pulling people into the discussion who don’t want to be there (see elsewhere on this blog), claiming to have evidence that nobody can see and even more important that nobody can verify to be “unmanipulated”.
What does a forward sent mail tell me? Only that it is editable text from an editable sender. So how is this proof? Don’t ask them, they won’t reply.
Like all hypes this one will eventually dry out and vanish.
Peace to all.
Mike.
Hi Mike, just wanted to say thanks for expressing this. It was great to hear your perspective.
Hello Mike,
This was a very interesting observation, thank you for sharing. We can definitely see a lot about a person/group from the way they behave, and from the “fruits” their actions bear. A site that brings people together based on hatred is indeed very far from Gnosis. I feel sorry for them actually, because I think that they don’t really know what they have fallen into, but the time will show, as it always does.
“What does a forward sent mail tell me? Only that it is editable text from an editable sender. So how is this proof? Don’t ask them, they won’t reply.”
Good point Mike, one of many you made.
On the issue of editable emails presented as evidence you may want to check out the “Misrepresenting Evidence” part in the Volunteering article: http://www.gnosticfreedom.com/refuting-the-untrue-allegations-about-volunteering/
Your observation about editable text is quite on the mark it seems.
Speaking of their “evidence”…
As you can see here http://www.gnosticfreedom.com/refuting-untrue-allegations-fraud/ in the allegation they made of fraud, how the “evidence” they have is just a draft legal opinion which was only based on the information they provided, and which was marked confidential and a draft for discussion only.
In the relationships section how Barbara has changed the dates and details of her story now a number of times.
And the argument behind the allegations of mind control can be summed up with Vernon’s statement that people are controlled by “making them to do things willingly.” I find it amazing how anyone could take this seriously?
“making them do things willingly”?
Now there’s an oxymoron
Thanks Mike for your comment, which has been very helpful. Your story is also very sad and shows the disturbing nature of all these allegations.
I hope that your information will help others to understand.
It is so refreshing to finally see this message out and the accusations of those who made them to be honestly and openly discredited in such a public way. It is a shame it has lingered on for so long, and a pity how much what seems to me ill will existed from those who left with a grudge and seeked to blame others, overlooking their own actions and faults.
Thankfully I see so much of this ending now, and a true chance for each person to go on with their life, their own interests, and for Gnostics around the world to practice what they love most in their life.
Wishing everyone a most happy and meaningful new year ahead towards peace, love and understanding.
Olga
I to echo the thoughts of the people posting this forum, I have been with The Gnostic movement for some time, I have meet Mark and Edith on many occasions and I am deeply in debt to them for the knowledge that they have given me and how through their teachings my life has changed in many ways for the better. It has not always been easy and sometimes been difficult, but lots of learning and very rewarding and that’s what Gnosis is about.
I wonder why it is that so many good things have been written from what people have found and also from people’s own experiences about The Gnostic movement and Mark Pritchard, but a small group of negative people start a smear campaign and this is what people choose to believe without experience anything for themselves???
I was just thinking as I was reading that there are so many good experiences that people have been writing about!
Maybe negativity attracts more attention in a situation like this because sensational things generally hold people’s attention longer, and because it’s easier to feel better about ourselves if we feel negative towards others or like they’re doing the wrong thing?
The truth that’s been explained above is not entertaining, scandalous or sensational – a group of people practicing Gnosis and trying to change, become better, experience spirituality and help others to do the same thing without asking anything in return – maybe untruths are more captivating?
It’s interesting too that Mark Pritchard (Belzebuub) teaches that nothing needs to be done to feel or be negative, it just comes up, but that it takes effort and activity to get to happiness, true love, understanding and peace and to live with those things in our life on an ongoing basis (paraphrased).
I’ve been learning and practicing Gnosis for approximately 8 years and my experience has been very very positive and has helped me in more ways than I can probably imagine
Good points David.
I think its unfortunately a common human tendency to feel negative and blame, condemn or despise others and even get an emotional kick from seeing others being judged or even harmed.
It’s also surprisingly easy to get drawn into these destructive tendencies I’ve found, if the right psychological buttons are pushed, and it can happen without even realising you are being swept into it. Under such influence you can keep seeking out that which feeds these tendencies without realising the poisonous effects the negative impressions are having upon your psyche and your actions.
I guess that”s why “bad news is good news” as the saying goes and why so many films and TV shows can thrive on portraying violence and crime, and magazines can thrive on gossip and scandals. There is obviously some kind of attraction to this — perhaps we like to feel better than others and enjoy judging. Perhaps we even enjoy seeing others being harmed physically or socially. This pattern appears to prevail in much “entertainment”.
People who understand this can manipulate others to serve hateful goals. History is unfortunately full of examples of this, and its been sad to see this being directed toward The Gnostic Movement and Mark Pritchard (Belzebuub), both of which have had an overwhelmingly positive impact on my life and I know to be innocent of the untrue allegations hurled upon them.
I sincerely hope to be able to continue practicing Gnosis in the group I choose free from ridicule and harassment and I’m glad this information has been published to clear things up for anyone who has been misled.
May all beings be happy indeed! My two cents worth on how to achieve this is to seek what brings real happiness, not what stirs negativity. That’s a start
Good point Matthew.
” May all beings be happy indeed! My two cents worth on how to achieve this is to seek what brings real happiness, not what stirs negativity. That’s a start ”
That’s a very good start indeed.
Thank you very much for posting this.
The teachings of Belzebuub and Edith, as well as being a part of The Gnostic Movement from the year 2003 helped me so much to live a better life, with more happiness, joy, care and respect for others, health, intelligence, etc.
I have worked within The Gnostic Movement through many obstacles together with many different people from different countries all over the world, and overall, it was a marvelous experience.
Spirituality in all its aspects, be it my relationship with another being, observing and understanding, trying to reflect humbly on a deeper meaning of an event, etc., is the most important part of my life. I have found in Gnosis taught by The Gnostic Movement a precious gift of life – exactly what I needed, what I was searching for, struggling for many years.
I won’t back up from what is so dear for me.
It is really sad that people searching for spirituality are persecuted… Even if there is a great learning in it, possible to extract for a few, how many of us simply can’t handle the enormous weight of negative emotions, looking for a good reason to stop us trying to change, blame for that someone else?
The “worm of doubt slowly eating the heart” is something different from principles of questioning and objectivity of conscious perception, inseperable from authentic spirituality.
Information can be a cure. Infrormation can be a poison…We all have free will, we all affect each other, we all are responsible for all what we do.
If someone who reads my post here, believes that you have an urgent need to cut something vital out of my life and lives of others, even if we sincerely don’t want that…please try to be at least like a good surgeon – gentle and precise. I often do mistakes and I will try to forgive you. I will pray for you and all people dear to you.
Please remember about the complexity of linked effects caused by all our choices and actions. Take a moment and reflect about our lack of understanding and love and spiritual strength, us as one suffering humanity – tiny part of the universe…
What being a true spiritual person could be like, if God truly exists?
Wishing everyone all the best during this year with all our spiritual efforts. May we all live with more moments of peace, clarity, care and compassion for each other…
May all beings be happy.
Thanks Vadim,
I really appreciated your words and sentiment and hope that we can all realize that we have more in common than not and that we are in need of understanding and compassion rather than negativity.
It is surprising that some can only see negativity wherever they look.
I have known Mark and Edith since 2000 and have been very involved in many areas within The Gnostic Movement. I have always found both Mark and Edith to be very honest and good people, and so I’m very shocked about all this nonsense that has been written about them and The Gnostic Movement.
I really hope that the truth will finally prevail.
without any psychological laziness we have to be aware of all those attacks and continuously making the best out if it. in democracy everyone and nobody has the right to get informed, and since our culture is down, so we dont have ethics in reaching community. this belongs to our community karma.
Even when technology appears to give a chance for a worldwide community, we are in the middle of receiving a lot of information.
We shouldn’t become frivolous, which is when the blind lead the blind to only be entertained.
Our personal needs and visions shouldn’t fade or disappear within the entertainments inside or outside of the movement.
we need centers of power and light and people who are able to learn to lead them and to offer eternal knowledge in a humantistic manner.
Some know everything better, others are against all and that can be damaging for our fragile bones. I wish all people with interests for a better life a happy New Year and the continuation of willpower.

I hope that this refutation and the comments here and this whole website can help people to better understand the real situation regarding The Gnostic Movement and Mark Pritchard (Belzebuub) especially if they were led astray by a few apostates.
In my experience, The Gnostic Movement and Mark Pritchard (Belzebuub) and his wife Edith are a force for good and I fully concur with and support this refutation of false allegations.
Thanks very much for the explanations. It seems inevitable that some people will shout ‘Hosanna’ one day and ”Crucify Him’ the next.
As much as these former members pursue their campaign, their actions make any ‘alleged’ wrong doing pale into insignificance.
This website is a wonderful breeze giving testimony to the positive and vanquishing the misconceptions. Thank you to all for your humbling contributions.
Adding my support to refutation of the claims laid by persecutors of Gnosticism and those who practice it. As stated, respect for free-will, demonstrating heartfelt good-will towards all, and pursuit of objectivity are hallmarks of the Gnostic standard.
Hopefully those affected by the cries of the persecutors are willing to seek a balanced response and make up their own mind in a legitimate pursuit for objective perception.
I too add my support to this website and this extremely revealing and necessary article. Thank you to those working to help clear things up.
I have gained many positive experiences since joining the Gnostic Movement, and my personal experiences with both Mark (Belzebuub) and Edith have always been inspiring, positive and very helpful.
I sincerely hope that these senseless attacks on the Movement and against Belzebuub will come to end.
Thank you to all those that have been contributing with their own personal experiences. It is very inspiring and helps to provide a strong sense of unity.
I am also very thankful for this site and to see this article setting the record straight.
From the other side, it is sad to see these people (the few ex-members and ex-students of The Gnostic Movement) accuse the movement and its spiritual teacher again and again for so many months. Is it for them that this is the spiritual-internal work: to accuse and to blame others? Is this what they understood all that time of how to help others spiritually? Is this the way that they understood and imagined the esoteric work and progress to be? I don’t think so.
For me it is very sad to see this situation, because I was with some of them (Vernon and some of his associates) in the same Center for a few years and generally I was in contact with them often. So I know these people very well: we were friends, and we were working together to spread Gnosis to people who were interested in it.
The most surprising thing for me is to read and listen to all these accusations they’ve made, because just a few years before, Vernon was saying exactly the opposite things.
Personally I am glad and grateful that I take part in The Gnostic Movement, where I received with a simple, clear, and totally comprehensive way the Gnostic teachings from its spiritual teacher, Mark Pritchard (Belzebuub), with his amazing books and talks, helping me to understand more and more the practices, the esoteric work, and how to learn and correct myself.
Peace and Love to everyone as the Sun Shining everyone!
I would just like to thank those former members who started this hate campaign…it’s always helpful to have examples of what NOT to be, to use as a benchmark, to prove the point by example, that the Path is indeed narrow and difficult.
Within itself, their actions is but another test put before us, one can only give a wry smile and give ones head a shake.
While one can only pity acts of desperation in the search of revenge, it does require ones heart to offer love, as that is the greatest healer to those in need.
Lets thank those who wish to divide, because they in fact affirm ones beliefs.
Thanks Davalex,
Very well put indeed!
If I tried my hardest I don’t think I could honestly say a negative word about The Gnostic Movement or the beautiful teachings of Mark and Edith. I feel so incredibly grateful for the teachings and the opportunity to learn and know myself.
It’s great to read the article responding to the actions of the two former members, but personally it doesn’t change anything for me. There was never any doubt or concern about their silly accusations, as I go from my own (very positive) experience of the movement.
It’s really an important article for those who have not had a substantial experience with the movement yet and may be interested in taking up the courses / teachings.
I think its also worth looking at the motivations of these former members. To conduct any type of negative campaign such as this, they really must be in a terrible way. Possibly very angry, spiteful, embarrassed and regretful. Even if they are unaware of it currently, a small part of them knows the error. They are hurting themselves as well as others.
It’s quite easy to feel negative feelings towards these people, but thats a waste of energy. They are missing out on so much now, peacefulness, love, joys of helping others, clarity, help from divinity, activated spiritual faculties etc etc etc and whats worse is that they probably know this too!
I will pray for them and try my best to use compassion and forgiveness.
Thanks to all for posting its so nice to see how The Gnostic Movement and Mark have genuinely helped people.
Good points James, thanks for that. I also feel quite strongly about my experiences with The Gnostic Movement and both Mark and Edith.
Ultimately it’s the practices and experiences which can help us learn through any difficulties and understand why things like this happen, and then feel compassion like you mention.
however, why should the divine mother, christ, and the light from Buddha Samael disappaer (from us)
When I found out about these allegations, I was shocked. I had been going along in what felt to me a genuine happiness in finding what I had been looking for in life. I had been interested in various spiritual theories and ideas, but none of them contained in them a practical way of learning about myself and life around me, that brought about real results. After having many positive experiences with Gnosis and the teachings of Belzebuub, to hear that people actually not only just didn’t want the teachings but accused him personally of things so completely opposite to the nature of what Gnosis really is- was very shocking to me. Like many of you have said above, Gnosis and the teachings of Belzebuub have changed my life in a way I would never have imagined possible, something containing more love, wisdom and understanding of myself, those around me and life itself. It is a true shame that these allegations have done so much damage to people genuinely interested in spirituality and finding the truth. I continue to stand behind Belzebuub and his teachings because they have enriched my life as I have said, in a way I never thought possible and I have so much gratitude to him and everyone who continues to make these teachings available to everyone.
Thank you Vida for your inspiring voice of support!
And much strength to everyone.
No one can take the knowledge from our hearts, and we must remember that.
I seem to be just catching up on this, only late last year I found out about the complications, I cant believe things had to go this far, the full clarification of the events satisfys my curiosity, I can see it all unfolding like a dreadful inevitablility, a sad tale of human inadequacy. I can see it does serve the negative force of fear making more argument , lets hope we can move on together from this. No one is forced to do this work even if they say it was because “they thought they would go to Hell” most people who think they are going to Hell couldnt care less. So surely they started with some motivation from their essence , they all seem to have gone along for along time before they decided to go the other way, and even then wanted to come back. I have been involved over 10 years with the Sydney Centre and have made slow and steady progress in directions that I determined and set as goals. If I left today I would bear no ill will to anyone that I have been involved with. Obviously I admit that I have never made teacher status, but I have always donated to the best of my ability and helped whenever I could. It never was just that easy to accomplish , but compared to my peers I am much happier with my life , that no amount of money could replace. I am happy when I go to the centre to practice with others whatever the outcome and hope that we can continue to do so. regards to all and thank you for your efforts.
”No one is forced to do this work even if they say it was because “they thought they would go to Hell” most people who think they are going to Hell couldnt care less. So surely they started with some motivation from their essence…”
Well said Cheryl!
Ironic that former teachers, who I would assume must have to some extent been dedicated “Gnostics” to reach teacher status would try to bash the movement. Even though they were asked to leave, I would have hoped that people we trusted as teachers (even formally) would have implemented what they have learned from Gnosis to deal with this in a more conscious manner as oppose to way they are currently dealing with it. Just another reminder, to trust your intuition, and be in awareness.

Peace and love to Everyone! I hope this matter can be resolved in a safe and civil manner, and I do hope there will be an alternative way that we can still be connected with one another. I also sincerely hope that this is not the end of the online courses or the world wide centres.
Love
